This development is located on the Former Williamstown Primary School site which had been unoccupied for around 5 years prior to purchase following the relocation of the school facilities. Developed in partnership with Rhondda Housing Association, the completed site will consist of 23 new affordable dwellings, providing a mix of houses, flats and bungalows.

The site is on two levels and underlain by rock, which had previously been quarried during the 18^th and 19^th century. These challenging ground conditions required innovative excavation and construction solutions to be adopted and the majority of the rock waste was crushed and utilised within the development. Additionally, a number of services diversions were required to enable the use of a crane for the super-structure lifting operations.

The new dwellings are timber frame construction with an outer skin of brick or stone and handover is targeted for early 2020.
